چکیده
The article at hand presents a novel approach to accelerating the early strength development of mineral-impregnated carbon-fibre composites (MCF) by electrical Joule heating. MCF were produced with metakaolin-based geopolymer suspension and subsequently cured using Ohmic heating under systemically varied voltages durations. characterised in respect their mechanical morphological properties. Three-point-bending uniaxial tension tests yielded significant enhancement properties due curing within only few hours. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM) as well micro-computed tomography (µCT) confirmed advanced geopolymerisation process strong sensitivity parameter selection. After two hours resistance could demonstrate tensile up 2800 MPa, showing great potential for applying effect possibility enhance geopolymer-based MCF. Moreover, applied method offers huge manufacture automated fast out-of-oven variety shapes dimensions.

Minimizing Joule heating remains an important goal in the design of electronic devices. The prevailing model of Joule heating relies on a simple semiclassical picture in which electrons collide with the atoms of a conductor, generating heat locally and only in regions of non-zero current density, and this model has been supported by most experiments. Recently, however, it has been predicted tha...
متن کاملEnhancing Mechanical Strength of Inorganic Geopolymer by Using Phenol Resin
The effect of organic phenol on the compressive and flexural strength of a metakaolin based geopolymer is studied. It was found that 12 wt% phenol resins can increase the compressive and flexural strength by 30% and 65% respectively. In addition, the reinforcing effect of phenol resin is higher in Na-PS and Na-PSS type geopolymers rather than Na-PSDS. Two distinct endothermic peaks were detecte...

Joule heating in single-walled carbon nanotubes CNTs using a quantum mechanical approach is presented in this paper. The modeling is based on the energy transfer between the electrons and both acoustic and optical phonons. In this formulation, only the knowledge of the full energy dispersion relation, phonon dispersion relation, and the electron-phonon coupling potential is required for the cal...
